For Gabimaru, a ninja from the village of Iwagakure who is known for his lack of emotions, a death sentence has been issued by his friend Papush. Gabimaru, who is tired of killing and betrayal, wants to die. However, he does not give up, as despite how it may seem, he still has a reason to live. He wants to return to his wife, who has softened towards him and was defeated by his killer instincts. Therefore, he rejects death. Asaimon, a famous executioner, sees this and makes Gabimaru an offer. He wants Gabimaru to be sent to an island in southern Japan to search for the elixir of life, in exchange for a complete pardon from the Shogun. However, this island is not ordinary. It is said to be cursed. The island is full of riddles and mysteries, and a search team, composed of those who have been sentenced to death, may not be fully prepared for him.
